Boschaero\CSC Daily Report
July & August Data Collect
Redstone

This is the 4FPA Sensor mounted on the ISL/Bosch stabilized pan and tilt unit.
The racks are strapped in and ready for flight.
Buddy cools the sensors with liquid nitrogen.

After several test flights we determined that John should have some padding to kneel on and a hinged safety guard across the door. The guard is flipped across the door way when John crawls in front, and lowered during data collection.
Several days have gone by now. We have held for weather conditions to improve. Mike and Casey pose for a shot.
Glenn also gets a pose.

John is harnessed and ready for action.
Buddy and John are ready to collect data.
As you can see, John gets close to the open door during calibration tests.

Once we cross over the Tennessee River we will be on Redstone Arsenal.
This tower is where other CSC Researchers are collecting similar data. Unfortunately, one of the airborne sensors was misbehaving and we were forced to return to base.
Another day. John and Buddy study the passenger briefing.

Take-off from Moontown (3M5).
Calibration tests.
Our target area was bordering 565. Our turn around point fell just out side of the Arsenal.

After the mission was complete, Buddy and Casey unload the gear.
The truck is packed with gear and data. A good mission was had by all. :)
