Bosch Aerospace Daily Flight Reports
The Flight Across America in the AN-2 Research Aircraft

Day Three

We anticipated an early start... IFR conditions allowed us to extend our stay in beautiful Tyler, Texas.

The great folks at Tyler Aero took very good care of us.

During our morning off in Tyler, Jim fine tunes the props with a file.

Mike replaced the steel screws in the door with stainless steel.

After arriving at the airport just after 6:00 AM we departed at 12:00 noon. From a stop on the runway to lifting off was completed in 14 seconds.

Reaching out to the Mississippi river.

Pilot to Bombadeer, stand by.

A close up of a barge as we cross over the Mississippi river.

A great deal of room in the back of the plane.

This is Jim's home town airport, Moontown, Alabama

Our final approach over the road. Visibility was very limited.

Does this guy look like he is glad to be home?
