We make an impression wereever we go. It was a kick to listen to this gentleman give these children the tour of Annie.
He told them that this is what the very first airplanes used to look like. He referred to it as a marvelous flying machine
with it's huge propeller pulling it into the air. (chuckle).

Jim files our flight plan to Florida.

We take off within 6 stripes of runway markings. We spend more time flying over runways than we do using them.

When we took off the base of the cloud deck was at 1800 feet. As we tried to climb above the clouds, the clouds almost out climbed us. We finally got above them about an hour later at just about 7,000 feet. We set up a cruise at 7,500 feet and
out flew the clouds a few hours later.

We were met by Allen from NRL and did some ground testing of the gear. Annie was put inside the American Aviation hanger for the night.
