Monday 5-10-99


The clouds began to form very early in the morning.
The fire fighting efforts continue by utilizing the P-2's.
In route to the target area Karen deploys the sensor into the open doorway.
A fresh water data collect.
Karen flies Annie back to Brooksville. She had her hands full with all of the clouds in the area.

After refueling we are ready to go out again for the evening data collection mission. Jim and Karen wind up Annie's rubber band.

Once on station we are 109 miles from the shore line. We then proceed into steep turn maneuvers around a point. This is an example of a 30 degree bank.
During our return trip to the shoreline we can see very intense thunder storms just North of the field.
I got a new video camera today!! This is a shot in the infrared mode. This shot is taken in pitch darkness. The camera has a built in emitter, as you can see.
