Boschaero\Naval Research Lab Daily Report
Thursday 6-3-99

The visibility was obscured with a cloud layer, shortly after take off from Nassau. At this point the last mission was not looking very promising.
A ship shot on final approach to Lee Stocking.
A shot of the sub chaser, off in the distance.
I don't know what to say, so I wont say anything. Is a picture worth a thousand words?
Another boat shot as we depart Lee Stocking on the last mission of this tour.
More boats steam to Mary's coordinates.
Mary was able to secure us a new door sticker. Thanks everyone!
We were able to collect a limited amount of data. This was one hole in the clouds where data collection occurred.
This is the target area as the clouds just moved in. Not much hope for the lines now.
We did fly the 10 mile long line into some clear air and they were able to see the ocean and perhaps a boat.
After we said our good bye's, the troops headed off to get their clubs so they could play one last round of golf before leaving the luxury of Lee Stocking Island, themselves.
Just before take off I noticed that The Data Cowboy had forgotten his honey roasted munchies. Judy made our first ever in flight, ration deployment. She dropped the bag containing the said rations through the sensor port in the belly just after take off. Mary was the only one to spot the drop, and was able to recover the contents.
This is the last look we had at the awesome beauty of the Exuma chain.
On a base leg to Nassau we encountered our normal afternoon rain shower.
Upon driving to lunch we encountered a very bad storm. This storm produced lightning that took out the radar and radio communications at Nassau International Airport. I guess we made it back just in the nick of time.
