The Bosch Aerospace
Division of ISL maintains its headquarters, engineering, and
fabrication/test facilities at Brownsboro, Alabama. The ISL Space and
Missile Systems Division (ISL Huntsville) has merged and co-located
with the Bosch Aerospace Division. The 17,100 square-foot facility is
equipped with computer modeling and design tools, which include Auto
CAD 2000, MATLAB, NASTRAN, GID and MACBLIMP. Professional video
recording and editing equipment for data collection is available.
Fabrication and equipment storage facilities are well equipped for
prototype fabrication, testing, aircraft maintenance, and systems
operations. This facility includes a composite material fabrication
shop now in the process of gaining ISO9000 compliance for design and
manufacturing functions. It features a four-acre outdoor test site and
taxiway access onto a 2300-foot lighted aircraft runway. The
Bosch Aerospace Division owns and operates aerostats, unmanned blimps,
manned research aircraft, UAVs, UGVs, and a wide range of
instrumentation.
